Icoane

             Toate icoanele sunt pictate pe lemn (masiv, de tei la majoritatea şi cu traverse în formă de coadă de rândunică pe spate la cele de 20x30cm şi mai mari) tratat în mod tradiţional, cu pânză lipită cu clei de oase şi cu grund din clei, praf de cretă şi ulei de in. Foiţa utilizată pentru fondul icoanei este de aur de 23 karate. Asistele (luminile aurii de pe veşmintele Mântuitorului din icoanele cu Maica Domnului cu pruncul sau din icoana Pogorârea la iad, precum şi cele de pe evanghelii sau de pe alte părti ornamentale ale veşmintelor diferiţilor sfinţi) sunt realizate de asemenea cu foiţă de aur. Icoanele sunt pictate în stil bizantin, în tempera cu ou sau cu liant acrilic.

           All icons are painted in byzantine style, on wood (linden wood mostly) which was traditionally treated, with canvas applied. I use 23 karat gold for gilding the background and for Christ's vestments as well as for some ornaments.
